I'm having some difficulty diagnosing the underlying issue that driving the J-1706 that I keep getting.
I've gone ahead and changed both drive clutches and the rubber but that hasn't resolved the issue.
I cleaned sensor PS27 but that didn't seem to help.
I've attached a photo of the way the paper looks when I open drawer 1 (although it seems happen on all three drawers).
I hoping someone may be able to point me in the write direction of a cure.36944

there is a white one way limiter on the feed roller shaft that slips sometimes and causes paper backlash. i squirt IPA all on it and slide it left and right to clean out the cobwebs.
i hope its that easy for you.
part#8 im talking about.

all paper types?
all trays?
try loosening your guides, at least 1/16 gap on all sides...

Thank you so much for this exploded view of the mechanism.
Just one quick question...what is IPA? A lubricant?
