From time to time, I run carbonless paper through my BizHub C6500.

When I do this, I have a lot of issues with jamming and get the J-1706 code if running Tray 1, 2 or 3.

In the monster paper tray 4 and 5, it just jams on the first sheet.

I posted about the J-1706 code earlier, but, I was wondering is there are any tips or tricks to working with carbonless on these machines.

I always appreciate you replies!!!

yes, NCR paper is not exactly certified to run at all on those however, there are these neoprene orange rollers that dont melt with the chemical on NCR paper.
NCR has to be run from a PFC not the main body trays.
someone here may have the part #s, ill see what i can find but those orange rollers are the only thing keeping that paper flowing.
what PFC does the account have?

btw, this is right from Konica...

Thank you so much for this excellent information!

I had replaced the rollers and drive clutches in trays 1, 2 and 3 the other day and came across these orange neoprene rollers A08R562201.

I couldn't remember why I had them or what they were for and NOW I know why I bought them thanks to you.

Its guys like you that make this such a great forum!

Thanks again my friend!

Glad to help!!
Just make sure your users know that the carbonless NCR paper is NOT supported and they will have to deal with occasional jams and prolly a CQ issue later on.
Nothing to be fixed or done.
It's like putting water in your gas tank. It's not supported but if it runs consider yourself lucky.
Have good one!!

We only deal with digital press and as such come across this quite a lot, I can only add to the suggestion of using the neoprene rollers.
and if the customer is using A4 or SRA4 then set to SEF.

As stated elsewhere unfortunately NCR is unsupported stock.:(
