My customer is printing envelopes from the bypass on a 25e. From day 1, the envelopes will wrinkle despite the bypass being setup properly for envelopes. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20170719/5e3d62935f647235e5caf5b98f1f91cd.jpg
These are the envelopes in question. They have another 25e that we tested and it, too, wrinkles the envelopes.

Is there something that I'm missing that I can try to help this situation?

Thanks.

That's right. They will wrinkle.
Too many tight turns. Nothing you can do other than try to tuck the flap in first or get better envelopes made from like 24lb+ paper.

cheap envelopes are " roll folded " meaning the folds aren't flat... when going thru a hard roller fuser ( a non-film fuser ) the folds are pressed flat causing the wrinkles. Have your customer switch to a higher quality " flat fold " envelope and you should see a marked difference. and NEVER let them leave the rear flap open on an envelope... that could cause timing issues if the flap doesn't hit the sensor arm properly.

Buy HP printer

but it needs to be one with a "fuser film" and not the hard hot roller.

Thanks for all the replies. The offending unit has been replaced with something that doesn’t wrinkle their envelopes.

Not having access to the bulletins, I would love to see a copy of it since I have exactly the same problem at the moment.

Thanks

Hans
