are you using USB behind small metal cover in rear? It won't work from USB on front right side near control panel, only movie F/W can be loaded there.

Only file on thumb drive should be the .tar file

Yeah I'm using the port behind the metal panel that slides up

Correction, the .tar file is for movie data.

For regular fw you open yellow folder and copy and paste ALL the files onto thumb drive. plug into rear usb port and turn machine on. I've had to wait 5+ mins for it to show on display.

When I open yellow folder just copy those two?

either "select all" those files and move to thumb drive or copy and paste all those files to thumb drive. confirmed they all are the correct files

boot holding reset and see if you can get to service mode after hitting trouble reset and format the HDD.
you can also unplug the HDD and wipe it on a PC and reinstall, format and install movie data.
try going into admin mode first because the option to format will be the first thing to pop up

what default password are you using? can be "12345678", "00000000", "9272927292729272". Also try inputting each password 2 times without a space.

Tried 12345678 twice and 9272xxxxxx twice will check the "00000000" and let you know

No big deal. Just set an encryption passphrase. It's not unusual for that to clear/reset when you've formatted the HDD. It's in the Admin Settings menu, let's see if I can find specific keystrokes:

In Admin Settings > Security Settings > HDD Lock Password > enter 20 digit passphrase > Ok > re-enter passphrase > power MFP Off/On.

It doesn't really matter what your specific passphrase is, as long as you can type it exactly the same on two separate lines. Essentially Konicas encrypt the data on the HDD with a 20 digit password to make it unrecoverable. =^..^=

firmware should not have done this.
did you try and swap boards or something?

Woxner

you may need to use the reset tool now. there is a bulletin where to enter part of the serial and code to try and reset.
Use the numbers in the serial twice followed by 8 zeroes. An example for the bizhub C360 serial number is A0ED012020866. (Do not use the item number A0ED012portion.)
The unlock password using the above example is 02086602086600000000.

Did you have this issue before you updated the FW? Or were you updating the FW to fix this or another issue?

You need Konica Rep to help you on this one or try what Woxner suggested.

You 'll need to call the hotline to get the CE password reset. They give you a code sequence. =^..^=
