I work in a small company so my primary role is not just field tech but also the network/IT guy its kind of hard to separate them considering alot of copiers are MFP.

Welcome Sales Guru, you are out numbered here but welcome. Most won't admit it but without you there would be nothing to fix :)

New user here ^.^

I work for a large company here as Australia and am in one of 3 branches in the country with in house techs.

I have the overpowering joy of being the Junior Service Technician .... but we dont exactly have a senior tech based here. We have one that comes up for half of every month, but that has still left me by myself for half the time to work things out myself.

Uhm, i chose Field Technician up there because i spend most jobs out on the field, but i also spend more time in the shop. I take on a few other roles but they arent exactly on the technical side, its just because i can lift heavier things than the girls in the shop ^.^ :D

You also left out Certified Trainer which is something I do along with other responsibilities 5,6,7,8 and 9. With 12 techs we don't have a Service Manager. At least by title. Hmmmm, wonder why I do so many things.........

When first hired by the school district it was my job to start and maintain an in house copier maintenance program to lower copy cost for the district. This included purchasing copiers through the states purchasing co-op, standardizing makes and models to limit the amount of parts and supplies on hand, handling bids for parts and supplies and maintaining equipment through scheduled maintenance. Now, 18 years later and many different administration changes, my main job is to make it through another 3 years so I can collect my retirement.

I deal with all Sharp Colour machines and take the escalation calls when needed.
Many years previous experience with Minolta & Ricoh Colors at a country dealership also.
Dont really touch the B/W machines as so many other guys want to do them more than me.:D
