I have a BZ223 on which the main drive motor constantly runs after doing a copy or print.
On switching on the machine it warms up as normal and appears ok but as soon as a copy is done, after the sheet exits, the main motor will continue to run turning the fuser/drum etc.
There are no jam or error codes reported.
Parts changed so far are the PRCB and drive motors.
I've picked up this call from another engineer who replaced the bypass tray assembly which the customer had damaged. He isnt sure if the motor was constantly running after he left it.
Has anyone experienced anything like this?

fuser and drum are 2 separate motors, which one has he changed and which one continues to turn ?

He tells me its the fuser motor.

I haven't been there yet.

Just getting a few ideas at this stage.

have a good look for any damage the the wiring harness going to this motor.

I've seen pinched wires cause motors to run constantly, but seemingly at random times. The insulation is still intact but thin enough to allow current to flow sometimes.

Long story short... Ended up disconnecting all the bypass connectors and the motor would then stop running at the end of the cycle as normal. I cut all the cable ties on the wiring loom and reconnected, still ok. However now I get c0211 because the solenoid for the bypass tray lift is not energising. I replaced the prcb but still the same. I think something is broken in the wiring loom but luckily the customer doesn't need the bypass, so I have left it disconnected for now. It's a weird one...
