OK I know that the toner doors will not open automatically until they are empty, but I need to open one to remove a the toner to put in another machine, I know there is a manual method to open them but can,t remember how, also can't find the info in the Service manual.
Any help will be appreciated.

Take magnet and slide it on up on the tinted black plastic window inside the toner door. You should hear a release.

Sim 159 > set the "Container Unlock Display" to on then open it in adjustment / maintenance in the system menu. Don't forget to turn it off if you don't want your customers to change toner prematurely.

Hello!

Can you give more info about finding this "Container Unlock Display". I tried to find it in webinterface, in system menu, but still didn't find it :(

And btw what is "Sim 159"?

Sim 159 is in the Maintenance Mode tables, should be easy enough to find if you have a service manual:confused:

Unfortunately I havn't got it. Hope I will find it somewhere for free, because I don't want to pay for it just for that little problem.

a strong magnet from a hard drive is very handy for opening these override covers. Especially magnets from multi-platter 3.5 inch drives.

I sure as heck hope that this toner cartridge has not been stuck in this machine for over three years!

I have attached the below as a text file. I made the text file so folks can remember how to do this without bothering me.

CS xxx2 - Open toner door

Put into Maintenance Mode: 10871087

>U159 - Set Toner Container Function

> Start
> Container Lock
> change EMPTY to OFF > Start

Open the top front cover to access any toner bottle.
When finished close all toner covers and then close the top front cover.
At this point do the following:

> change OFF to EMPTY > Start
> Stop > Stop
> input 001
> Start to exit Maintenance Mode
