Hi all,

Have a customer with a C458 and FS-536 finisher. Anything sent to the sorter tray to be stapled (1 or 2 staple) will be misaligned.
For example, sent a 10 page document to be stapled, once they enter the sorter tray one or two pages will be offset, much so that the staple misses them completely.

So far:

Iv taken out the eject assembly and checked over, nothing seems out of sorts.
Checked the condition of the paddle ass'y, checked for worn/damaged/obstructive mylars.
Paper is ok.
Adjusted the width of jogger guides in service mode.
Still no good.
Machine about 6 months old.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

This finisher is a close relative to the FS-534, so take a look at the regulating plates and the eject arms.

Yes the FS-536 has slightly modified parts, but not all that different. check out this link:

Yes I see that there is a metal plate mounted on top of those guides already. Read that post before. Thanks anyway.

If under warranty, go for ejector unit.

I’ve experience the arms being out of alignment, seems like the belts are skipping on the drive teeth? My finisher is past the production serial number, for the updates. The last thing I tried was lubing the guides. I hope this works.
