Hello,

In these days some customers complain about the slowness of the printers. I understood that the problem comes from energy saving. In fact, after it goes into energy saving, the printer takes much longer to start the new copy (I guess because it has to prepare the fuser etc.)

For this reason, I was thinking of putting a default of 15 to 60 minutes for energy savings. This seems to have solved the problem.

Suggest you something else? Have you received any such calls to you?

Depends on the printer , Hp using instant heat hp most other brands use a lamp that's why it's slower.
Almost all printers come ready in less than 30 seconds

This problem I found more or less in all KM models (for example bizhub 227, 458 etc.) and Lexmark (bizhub 4020 and 4050).

Sometimes it seems that the printer is frozen.

Yep using heat lamp but that's the fusers last so long, unlike copiers

So I can confirm the theory.

Thank you very much for helping! :D

Usually the opposte is true now, most manufacturers boast of their fast “first copy out” times!

By default, we extend the low power setting to 240 min, and disable sleep mode, this has resolved more that a few slow printing and 3rd party connected app problems. FYI even with sleep mode disabled, KMs will go to sleep after 72 hours of non use. To my knowledge there is no way around this (except possible by using the weekly timer settings). Emujo
