Hi

A customer is reporting that they are trying to join their C308 to local domain but it always fails
After starting the domain join process, the web page shows the message ‘Now exporting. Please wait.’ After a short while, the message ‘The system is busy. Re-try after a while’ comes up.

Anyone come across this before- I would appreciate any advice

Cheers
Pat

Hello,

you have to check that the network settings are correct (ip, subnet, gateway).

If they are correct, he must try to use Internet Explorer. It happened to me with Chrome / Firefox / Safari and nobody was going. With Internet Explorer yes.

Also check if you are using http or https.

That message is usually associated with a time out error. You might want to experiment with different forms of authentication. You could try a basic ping to verify a connection to the domain server, check for matching times on MFP/DC.Emujo

If the web browser (Internet Explorer) has been hijacked then other web browsers like FireFox will wrangle with Internet Explorer to try and set itself as the system "default browser". If you find that Internet Explorer is constantly asking to be set as the default browser then you might have a hijack browser or malware running a web browser banner of shorts. If Firefox constantly tries to set itself as the default browser, the firewall software may block it as a malware attempt, and therefore block the normal windows services *.dll files it also uses.

Try turning off the firewall and see if it makes any difference to the connection.
