Hey Smart Folks!

Just a Quickie Here if Ya Got a Moment!!!

I'm trying to login to Pagescope as Admin and I keep getting "SSL is not set-up. Please set up SSL after admin logins to secure safety of the information." Error. The machine has the most recent frimwar, drive formatted, and movie data installed, etc. Interesting thing is, I am unable (in Admin mode) to go into the "Enhanced Security" menu on the machine itself. Nothing on the screen when selected. I've tried IE & Firefox, neither work. In addition, the graphics on Pagescope are incomplete...no machine icon, no meter data, and such. I even connected to my laptop with a crossover cable to rule out any "external" influence. Also, the Service/Set-Up Manual shows going through Pagescope to setup SSL, but since I can't login to Pagescope Admin (authentication failure) I can't setup the SSL!!!...I even checked/changed the Admin password in service mode to make sure that wouldn't be an issue!!!

ANY Help Would Be Much Appreciated!!!

You can ignore that error. The password is 12345678 unless it was changed. In that case you will need to go into service mode. Stop-0-Clear and choose Admin password reset. But the SSL error is not a problem to worry about.

try a network clear.
you can create a self signed cert to make the SSL happy.

DOH! I wonder if there is a bit switch setting that would be affecting this???[emoji848]

The following is from a Konicaminolta C451 TSB so some of the wording might be different from the BH552 but should be close enough to perform what needs to be done.

Description
Cannot access Admin mode and cannot reset Admin password in Service mode.
Solution
CAUSE: Data Clear required.
IMPORTANT :Prior to the Data Clear:
The one touches will be erased so it is recommended to export the addresses from the machine.
The E-mail information will be erased so please export the Device information from the machine.
Make a note of the TCP/IP address configuration as the machine will be reset to DHCP.
Backup any account codes with PageScope Data Administrator.
SOLUTION:To resolve this problem, please perform the following procedure:
1. Enter Service mode.
2. Select System 1.
3. Select Initialization.
4. Select Data Clear, press blue Start button, wait for instructions on LCD.
5. The Admin password will now be reset to the default 12345678.
6. Network settings and HDD is returned to an Unset default values, this information will need to be reprogrammed into the machine.
After the Data Clear, perform the following:
1. Reinstall the HDDunder System 2/HDD and power the machine OFF/ON.
2. If a Fax is installed, set the target back to U.S. in System1/Marketing.
3. Reinput the TCP/IP address information.
4. Import the address book and device settings.

then pagescope normally should work.
try http:// instead of https://
even without SSL the non SSL page should open.
is there something to click on the page like advanced and accept connection anyway?

Machine had all settings cleared in service mode. Definitely a head scratcher! I initially thought it was the hard drive but swapped it with one from another machine, reformatted & reinstalled firmware. Real problem, another machine of the same model is exhibiting the same "problem"!!!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180910/2b2b6012541ca126badba6fee02fd4af.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180910/cfbe16665a2e3d2d919c82d18e719ce6.jpg

honestly it looks like a password issue. i have hundreds of machines that dont have SSL and i can still login.
i would try a system data reset again, turn ther HDD back on and run the latest firmware.
if that still does not work in service mode select reset admin password and use the standard 1-8 once see if that helps.

Just for clarity. Does the Administrator password you enter into Pagescope on the web interface work when entered from the panel of the copier?

Nevermind: just saw where you posted earlier that you can get into Admin mode from the panel.

Check the setting of SW25, I have seen this happening when the setting did not match the FW version.

Drop the function version down by one level, restart, bring function version to current level (matched to installed f/w version), restart. This should allow you to access via PSWC. Emujo

EmujoIn the administrative system settings under the enhanced security setting, I get a blank screen, which is where I believe SSL setting resides... but it is blank!!!...and yes, I did try rolling the firmware back to the very first, but it didn't work.

It's not firmware that's causing the issue, there is something corrupt or mismatched in your function version. This symptom happens frequently, usually changing the version and going back takes care of it...If you can print out a config page, does the page show Bizhub 552 or some other generic printer? E And BTW, you don't have a PSWC SSL error, this is the normal PSWC message for a machine without SSL enabled. It's just a warning message. Don't focus on this message. Emujo

EmujoI looked at the firmware notes and didn't see the usual list/table of what the bit switch should be in relation to the function & firmware versions. [emoji2955]

Service manual is lacking as to what specifically soft switch 25 should be set at, but there was only function versions 2 and 3. On the MFP panel, go into menu/device information. The function version should be listed here. There was no requirement to move to function version 3 with the latest firmware, so function version 2 should work either way.. If the device information field is blank or anything but version 2 or 3, you will have to try a few changes to soft switch 25 to get it correct. I would try HEX 10 or 20. Emujo

I came from the ricoh-savin darkside and am pretty satisfied with the KMBS stuff! Thanks Again for Your Help, emujo2!!![emoji16][emoji1303]
