I have a C454e that is dropping large print jobs, but the small jobs print fine.
Cleared out the memory and it still does it.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

We are being told that it is on multiple jobs, however if you apply technician rule #1 (don't ever believe your customer is telling you the truth) we are having them send us one of the jobs.

They are an electrical company so they are in the AEC industries and prone to non flattened prints.
We see that issue a ton on our large format equipment.

Not for nothing....but check and see what PORT they're using to print from. If they're using the "WSD" type of port, I've seen those drop in mid-job a few times. I'd verify they're using a Standard TCP/IP port, and make sure you UN-Check the SNMP Status box in the "Configure Port" dialogue as well.

so is it timing out?

what size is the file?

yes an unflattened PDF can cause all sorts of problems... along with that damn WSD!

Hello, if you mean that the printer keeps receiving files without printing (because it's getting 100, 300, 1000 copies), then it's a classic Konica Minolta problem.

The problem is all in the driver. Do not use the universal driver! Make sure both the printer driver and printer have an updated driver.

Do you use PCL or PS? In "finishing> paper layout" I suggest you set "productivity priority" for better speed.

Try a direct print option via web interface. Time out may also help. If works, possibly a driver issue?
