When I select the Utility button, it prompts for Admin password. I have looked around the security settings and tried a few things but I've had no luck. Any help is appreciated.

Edit: I have formatted the SSD, HDD, done a clear all data, and firmware update to latest release.

I may be wrong but seems to recall that users can be prevented to use Utility button.
Can't find now how, though.

I though a soft switch could be set to need password for user mode. Never used it so maybe it locks out the entire section.

Could explain when initialisation did not help

I still have no idea how to fix this. Should I just use the reset tool?

Check that DIP switch 200 (bit 5) being set to 00.
There may be other SW settings related, but first check this.

Try SW switch 200 set to HEX 20

Just checked this on C224e machine. Default settings of HEX is 00(didn't ask for password), setting it to HEX 20 - it asks for admin password when Utility is pressed.

Try SW switch 200 set to HEX 20

That did the trick! SW switch 200 was set to 20 so I changed it to 00 and no more password prompt to get into Utilities. Thanks!
