Hi all
Straight forward question really about real world life expectancy/longevity.

We've been offered a KM c7000, with PF602, RU509, SD506, FS521, manufacture date around 2011, IC-306 print controller, one owner, KM serviced since new 6M on the clock.

I appreciate there are a million variables from environment to media, however from the experience of those of you who have serviced these machines in the field what is your honest opinion on them, their expected life, either in terms of years or impressions etc. Like second hand cars are there any points that are worth looking out for? Or should we simply say, thanks but no thanks, as they are a dog.

A bit about us, we've had c5501, c6501's for years and from new and for what we do they've been fine, and although not KM service trained, from very early on we were given permission from KM to service our machines when in contract and have continued to do so out, so know our presses inside out including stripping them to their screws when defunct. But I don't know the c7000.

It won't be our primary press, we'll be throwing anything through it and the press it will replace does around 330k per years so it's not going to get heavy use.

Any thoughts most appreciated
Mark

Well, it's already on the End of Life list for 12/2021, for what it's worth.
