Hello

have a c224e that is printing 100% fine except when you copy/scan from the glass/adf the output is faint on the top half of the page, and fine at the bottom.

changed CCD so far and problem still persists

cleaned mirrors still the same.

Anyone ever had a bad lamp under the glass?

Maybe the mirrors got moved out of alignment?

Give the front left unsupported corner a tug upwards and see if that helps.

What would that do?

Did you clean the underside of the platen glass?

Scan a 2 sided original in 2-2 mode and see if both sides do it. The C224e uses a backside scanner in the RADF unit to read the back of the image and not the ccd. This will help narrow down where the problem lies.

If nothing else a bit of exercise.

Users at the machine would lean heavily on that corner causing it to sag like old tits.

Good catch but that really depends on what DF machine has DF-624 or DF-701.
