I bought a new fuser unit. installed in printer but can not get into the "engine maintenance mode" HOW DO YOU DO THAT??? thanks Howard

Power on while holding start/stop & escape then scroll to "sc fuser reset" press ok.

The following is from the service manual for the SP C811DN, the last model that I remember Ricoh having it in the service manual.

Method 1: Used if the machine is off
1. Turn the machine on while pressing the “Online” key and “Escape” key together for five seconds or more.
2. "[SP mode (Service)]” shows on the display.

Method 2: Used if the machine is currently on.
1. Press the “Up/Down arrow” keys together for about 5 seconds or more, and then press the “OK” key.
2. "[SP mode (Service)]” shows on the display.
The machine automatically goes off line when you enter the service mode.

The Smart Organizing Monitor software for this model allows you to reset fuser codes. You can get it from the Ricoh website.

I would like to thanks everyone that sent in answers to this post. Yes the The Smart Organizing Monitor software for this model allows you to reset fuser codes but you need a password to get into it. i found that and just for your info it is "Adimin074" with out it you can not reset the fuse error code.

Thanks for the update.

However you CAN reset this error without using the SOM I have a few installed as copiers only so no network available.
