Hi guys,

We currently have a Konica Minolta C364e in the office that is having issues when copying from the platen glass. The printed copy comes out as if the copy has been burnt?

we have tried replacing the lamp in the machine and also the CCDB. The machine is on the latest firmware.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Try pulling the front left corner of the scanner up while making a copy.
Make sure to follow procedure when physically changing the CCD out. You don't want to loose the factory position...

has the machine been tipped over or fallen?

looks likes mirrors are out of whack

how many scans/total pages on it?

a certified tech worked on it?

May take some measures tomorrow from office machine, but as others said check front left scanner side for being bend down.

Does it do the same through the DF?

No it doesn’t

So, something is happening as the scanner moves down the rail. Remove the glass and manually slide the scanner down the rail and see if it moves evenly (unplug machine first)

No obstructions between mirrors and CCD?
No "residue" or fogging on one of the mirrors? The Glass?
Not sure on Konicas, but is there an Auto Density setting you can turn off to see if that helps?
+1 on making sure the Scanner bed frame isn't bent down (front left corner).

Same exact symptom (area of problem) with first lamp/CCD and second lamp/CCD?

Upon further investigation, i have tried pulling the scanner bed up and the issue seems to change position. The bed must have been bent somehow ???

Thank you for your help guys, much appreciated:D:D:D
