I've had 2 C253's go down in one week and it seems as if the MFP board is the source of trouble. The first one had lost its ability to scan to email (no SMTP protocol present) and a day later went haywire with scrambled images on the touch screen and the replacement for that unit (fresh out of the box) started progressively failing (account tracking engaged but not requiring user codes) to finally not allowing the tech to browse into the web interface. You could ping it, it could print but no connection with the web interface. At this point there was also no SMTP protocol being released to the email server. It was working and hour earlier. Looks like we have some QA issues here. Is anyone else seeing a similar trend of failure in this model?
