I want to setup scaner for this machine.
I ceated a shared folter at c: and named it scaner
Also Ip address in network is auto.
At internet explorer wrote copiers ip address and got in the program . Wrote password, address book, contuc . Wrote user , host etc but when i checked error appeared. What i did wrong?

First, what version of windows are we dealing with, Win10, Win7? Makes a difference. When you created the folder scaner, did you use advanced sharing or just basic sharing? Did you check the security tab on the folder you created and made sure the username you are using has full access? Is the username you are using part of a domain? Have you let file and printer sharing via SMB through the Windows Firewall? Are you using port 445? As mentioned in another post what is the error code on the display? [Error codes do not get written to the printed error report]. As you can see I have more questions than answers based on the limited info provided.

I agree with Santander (http://www.copytechnet.com/forums/members/santander.html). What version of windows? Windows 10 hates smb.
And maybe there is a 3rd party antivirus firewall...

I've setup thousands of these machines. there is always some new windows problems.
