bizhub c3350 firmware update

hello
Any1 knows how to do the firmware update on this machine? bizuhb c3350?

i got bothbizhubC3850Series_Cont_A3GN30G0851-899
bizhubC3850Series_Cont_A3GN30G0851-W99
files but im not sure about the steps i should follow. in service mode machine wont see any files on my usb stick ( zipped or not)

USB needs to be FAT32
needs a folder called 'firmware' in root directory then firmware loaded into that folder as a .prn file


start with A3GN30G0803-899.prn then A3GN30GE8C3-W51.prn then C3350_EngineA3GN0Y00050G002100.prn

Your filenames might differ slightly but the idea is you do sub controller then main controller then engine

Pretty sure you can only have one prn file in the folder at a time. thats how i always did it atleast

just the front USB

Also dont put both files on at same time start with -899 then once finished delete it off usb and put on next file

also are you aware of the procedure to start it downloading firmware? Service Mode - Firmware Update - Select file on USB - Execute - OK
Dont touch it until machine restarts

That's how I've always done it. Put all different firmwares for the same machine on one drive and then just choose from the list when installing. Never had an issue yet. In fact I think it says right in the book to do it that way.

Saving the firmware data into the USB memory device
1. Save the firmware data in appropriate space in the PC.
2. Connect the USB memory device to the PC.
3. Create a "firmware" folder immediately under the drive of the USB memory device.
4. Copy the firmware data (***.prn) in the firmware folder created in step 3.
NOTE
• Be sure to save the firmware data in "drive:/firmware/***.prn."
• The printer can display up to 20 files of firmware data during upgrading.
• The control firmware includes the following three types of file.
Firstly upgrade the sub firmware, and then upgrade the main firmware.
• CntUpA3GN*******-899.prn : Sub Firmware
• CntUpA3GN*******-999.prn : Main Firmware (non-supported for Web browser)
• CntUpA3GN*******-W99.prn : Main Firmware (Supported for Web Browser)

I just found this thread, can you tell me where did you get A3GN30G0803? I'm trying to find it, it seems that's the one I need to make Airprint and Bonjour work.


I have 3 printers, 2 of them are working perfectly (A3GN30G0803) and one (A3GN30GM8C3) with Airprint and Bonjour disabled (and whatever I do, I can't enable them).

Do you have any hint, what should I look for?

TCP/IP raw port 9100
no WSD crap ports.
make sure there are no restrictions on color printing in admin mode.
i really dont see firmware helping your PC print in color.
does it print monochrome at least? you only said color so i cant tell if its printing at all.
is color the default in the correct driver?

lots to check before you just hit it with firmware to fix whats likely a driver issue.

i've tried several drivers, usb and lan, try print direct through web interface. as result 4 b/w printing different density, think it were color channels by b/w. color copy good. think it mayb software bug and i need to reinstall firmware

Ysoft SafeQ 6 terminal fails with TLS/SSL error to this one machine. We've another C3350 with the same firmware level but SQ6 pushes out fine.

ALL settings in every config page match the one that does work. We've spent hours on it.

I just want to know if there are any changes in more recent firmware, if there are any, that might fix any issues witb varying controller revisions or anything else. I'm probably clutching at straws but KM are citing the semiconductor shortage still for not offering to replace the unit with another C3350 or C3350i or anther MPF of similar physical dimensions.
