AFAIK there is no bizhub C5500ci. This model looks like the combination of a Kyocera TASKALFA 5500i, a TASKALFA 500ci, and a bizhub C550. I think your customer is confused, and you'll need to use your own eyes to identify the model. =^..^=

Copystar CS 500ci. How do you get Konica Minolta out of Copystar?

Gotta love customers. Getting more of the story. This guy came around selling this copier and the customer I guess bought it. She said he had it in a van with the copier on ITS SIDE. What dumb a$$ puts a copier on its side. You get what you pay for.

Hows that for guessing? Were I to guess I would say that:

1) your scanner is probably bent
2) your CCD may be bad
3) your scanner control board may be bad.

Since this machine is already obsolete, my best advice is to consider it a total loss and just dispose of it.

If the scanner is bent, you probably won't be able to straighten it out, or spend a week fiddling with it, and still not have it work quite right.
If the CCD is bad ... and you find one ... you'll still need the calibration test patterns to calibrate.
If the scanner control board is bad ... and you can find one ... you'll still the calibration test patterns to calibrate.

I really don't see how this can go well for you or for your customer. That's me: Mr. Cheery. =^..^=
