It would be nice that people asking for F/W make a small donation to this site.

$5 or $10 is well worth all the advice given on this forum as well as manuals, firmware, etc

If you want this tool because you can't access service mode with the CE password, -----The NV ram reset tool is for the C654 series------not the C654e series. To restore service mode access on the E series you need to generate a key. See below:

WARNING: DO NOT use the Reset Tool on the “4e” Series. Instead, use the following reset procedure.
1. Press the [Menu] key.
2. Touch [Counter].
3. Touch the following keys in this order; Stop  0  0  Stop  0  1.
4. Touch the following keys in this order; Stop  Clear.

5. Three items are shown below.
Printer Serial Number
MAC address
CE Password Reset Request Code.

6. Access LMS (Konica License Management System) for Administrator using a PC connected to the Internet.
8. Click Issue Reset Code.
9. Enter Printer Serial Number, MAC address and CE Password Reset Request Code.
10. Click Issue.
12. LMS issues CE Password Reset Code.
15. Enter CE Password Reset Code on the copier screen
16. Service mode password is now back to the default.

True, you are right. I just didn't want him to purchase the nv ram reset tool for the non-e series from somebody and mistakenly think he could fix a CE password issue on the E series with that tool.

I have a question about your LMS access level - have you got an access to "issue reset code" option as a dealers/service technician?
Here in EU, we've got access only iOption related buttons.

I saw a document for NA, about ressetting CE password which blazebusiness is relating to, so I'm curious.

concerning access to LMS, is it necessary to be affiliated with Minolta officially or is it something which has a work-around? I have purchased 2 C754e series machines with 400k or so, but am unable to access service mode on C754e and C654e has i-option errors D272 and D012 HDD problems.

It think it won't work unless you're logged in with mykonicaminolta portal. I'm registered with LMS through EU site and this functionality is missing.
