Konica Minolta C454 - 9401

Hi guys,

We currently have a Konica Minolta c454 with the error code C-9401. The scanner lamp is not illuminating and the lamp does not move, the machine is on the latest firmware. Tired disconnecting/ reconnecting relevant connectors and trouble resetting but no avail.

The service manual is suggesting the following parts:

- LEB EXPOSURE UNIT
- CCDB
- SCDB
- PRCB
- MFPB

Just wondering if someone has experienced this issue and which part it would most likely be as we will have to order the parts in.

Root Cause
Code C9401 after powering ON the main switch.


Workaround/Fix
PROBABLE CAUSES:
1. The CCD cable surface is damaged by the Plate Spring creating a short-circuit.

SOLUTION: Replace the CCD cable with the modified version (p/n A161N14402).
Note: Please use an Electric Conduction Clamp (p/n V500020069) in place of the current Plate Spring (p/n A161281700) which has been discontinued.

The clamp has been applied in production since 11/30/2012.

2. Poor connection of the LED exposure unit ribbon cable.
Reseat the ribbon cable where it plugs into the LED exposure unit and SCDB (Scanner drive board) connector PJ3.
