Just encountered another today. Customer calls can't print/scan. What changed? They switched internet providers and got new all in one modem, router, switch. So IP scheme is different 192.168.0..... rather than 192.168.1...... Trouble is these "IT" guys think everything is DHCP. Tell the customer that we charge, then we are the bad guys, tell customer to have installer fix his router foo-pah, we are still bad guys. Why can't these idiot installers just do it right and check previous IP scheme and key it into the new router, what could be easier? DO I HEAR AN AMEN fellow copier Gods? Please reply AMEN if you agree, or if you know of a better way to handle this, please comment.

Set the printer driver to use device name of the MFP instead of IP address. Set the MFP to use DHCP. I have had a couple of doctors where I had to do this because they changed router about every 2 months.
