hi i have a bizhub 458e with about 300k pages.
I replaced the drum at around 230k. Now the transfer belt and the 2nd transfer roller because it has reached periodic maintenance.

All OEM. Unfortunately, I have this black stripe. When I went I forgot to check the fuser roller to see if it was dirty.

For me the roller inside the fuser is dirty. What do you think? Even after several stabilizations, the problem remains.

thank you

Think you are right. Check the fuser roller surface for defects.
You can try to increase the fuser temp a touch to check if it helps.
Is it always on the same space on the paper?

basic troubleshooting 101 again, print a halftone test pattern in service mode and stop it before it goes in the fuser and inspect. or half fused half unfused.
you will find the culprit, i have no doubt :):

It looks a bit like the fuser to me too, The combination of speckling (left over unfused toner), and chipping in the solids. It would help to see an image with more fill. Try this:

I'm sure that you'll figure it out.

hello, I confirm: it is the fuser. I have installed a new unit. The problem is now solved.

The roller looks good but the toner is set. Do you think there is a way to recover it? Perhaps with some isopropyl alcohol.

Also today! A bizhub 308e with 280k has the same problem. I saw the fuser roller and it is ruined in the same spot, like the 458e. This time the roller is even more ruined.

I tried once out of curiosity but failed. You may be more lucky.

All bizhub 308e and some 458e at around 200k have the exact same problem in the fuser. It starts to get dirty and there is no way to clean it except by replacing it.

The fuser has a new part number, as well as simply indicating with a sticker that the fuser is hot, I hope something has changed.
The normal 8 series, so far no problem.

Good to know. Even we have only single one B&W bizhub 558e in the field. Now I'm more happy with our fleet of C258 machines.

I also have this problem in several 368e. Has anyone checked if the new fuser has improvements? (On konica minolta they only indicate the addition of a yellow sticker)

I believe that they only added the yellow sticker to the fuser. But I have not yet had the opportunity to check if it also happens with that.

I recently maintained a bizhub 458e.
Do you want to guess? I smell a new fuser that will soon fail. This printer has 230k and recently I changed the drum. I did all the calibrations but out of curiosity, I wanted to do a quality test.

I have seen that it leaves marks on the print where there is a lot of toner. This seems like a new fuser that fails prematurely
For now, all my bizhub 458e have not exceeded 300k copies with the fuser.
