Hi,

after replacing transfer belt unit drive motor (the gears teeth was worn and printer gave loud noise) now I have internal error occurred C-4501.
Printer loads, then is in the state of cleaning and when it runs to image stabilization - this error pops up.
The error gives a hint to Laser malfunction:

1 Check the connector between PH unit-PRCB CN24 for proper connection and correct as necessary.
2 Replace the PH unit.
3 Replace PRCB.

Checked the connector, everything seems to be plugged in correctly. I doubt that laser Print Head went down together when gear loud noise occurred.

Maybe I should something reset or... in the service menu?

I would go back over everything you did and look for a connector you didn't plug in, or plugged into wrong place, etc.

PM me if you end up needing anything for it. Just stripped parts from two working C451's.

i disconnected and connected again everything what I have disconnected for the first time 2 times already..
I have noticed when error occurs on display - PRCB starts to blink with green led in the middle of the board.

I've contacted local Konica Minolta - the first question from them was what temperature of the room where c451 operates. They say it should be not less than ~19 celscius, and I had temperature around 12 celcius.. And been told that Laser head could went down of this and its common with older machines...

So still don't know what to do, as the coincidence when gears went down, laser head also went down together.

Your C-4501 code may require quite a bit parts for test / to replace.
- PH unit
- DC power supply
- PH relay board
- Printer control board (PRCB)
Last two boards may have opened ICPs.

If I may guess - overloaded motor took out some driver or ICP on PRCB...

Actually printer with grinding gears on the back of transfer belt was running for a while. My colleague said she tried to printer on and off maybe for 4 times... Thought that sound will disappear.

So I could agree about overloaded motor.

How could I test these? In service mode?
