Hello,

I have a strange problem. I have a Bizhub C458 with FW G00-W4.
The printer receives native files from SAP and after about 10 days, it begins to print slowly. There do not seem to be problems if you print outside of the management software.

In the printer settings the priority has already been set for the production, lowered network time-out and I have deactivated spool Print jobs On HDD before RIP.

The only solution to resume printing correctly is to turn it off and then on again. Could it be a FW problem? Any experience or suggestions?

SAP is a multinational company that produces management softwareBased on that info, it sounds like you might need to contact SAP! Perhaps it is a data cache that is not being purged or cleared properly and thus causing slow processing or maybe somewhere the network connection is half duplex instead of full duplex or perhaps even the data stream is in a format that requires extra processing?![emoji848] I'm stumped!...but you did say that when the management software is removed from the equation the machine works just fine?![emoji848] Definitely sounds like something is glomming up somewhere!!![emoji2955]

I'm afraid you will need to dig deep into this.

I think this procedure was implemented to solve another problem, but it might be worth to try.

Procedure of Setting Automatic Reboot every morning
This function makes MFP reboot automatically at AM 4:00 (default) every day.
The conditions of reboot function and procedure are described below.
- Condition of reboot function

Condition 1:
Software Switch No.104 bit-0 is set.
Vender serial number is set as one of following numbers.
[10] or [11] or [12]
- 10: MFP reboots at AM 4:00
- 11: MFP reboots at AM 4:15
- 12: MFP reboots at AM 4:30

Condition 2:
Under the Condition 1 is satisfied, MFP reboots at the specified time unless it is printing, receiving fax or in sub power off mode. If the MFP is printing or receiving fax, it retries to reboot after every 30 minutes for two times. The MFP does not reboot after 1 hour.

- Procedure
1. On MFP Operation panel, enter to [Service Mode] -> [System 2] -> [Software Switch Setting]. Change the switch setting to values shown below. Then, press [Fix] button.
Switch No.104 / HEX Assignment: 01
2. On MFP Operation panel, enter to [Service Mode] -> [System 1] -> [Serial Number] -> [Vendor]. Input “10”, “11” or “12”. Press [END] button. Exit [Service Mode].
3. On MFP Operation panel, enter to [Administrator Settings] -> [System Settings] -> [Power Supply/Power Save Settings] > [Power Consumption in Sleep Mode]. Select “Disabled”. Exit [Administrator Settings].
4. Turn OFF Main Switch of MFP and ON.

Interesting and very clever solution in this case, good info.
On a side note, do you know on what models this work?

Anyway to clear a bit your PM Folders?

The solution is concerned. Weekly timer doesn't do something like that? Also is it possible to change the time?

Thanks!

I have no more information other than what is in the bulletin, and have never tried it myself. I assume that the MFP will do a full reboot, not only enter sleep mode.

There something strange here, I get this information even after trying to empty the inbox:
"Inbox contains 0 messages. You have 65,535 messages stored, of a total 100 allowed."
