Hi guys,

we currently have a C364e on site at a customers that wont update firmware for the MFP. Will update everything else. I have made sure the 'machine' and 'type' information is correct.

I have tried using a used MFP for testing purposes but still comes up with the N.G error when trying to update firmware. I have tried using x3 USB sticks and also tried re-downloading the firmware to rule out it being corrupted.

Will this mean that the SSD board has gone bad or?

any suggestions would be a massive help.

Just checking to see if you attempted just the MFP board by itself, by unselecting all the other FW options.

Are you trying to resolve a fault by updating the firmware or is the machine functioning normally?

The machine was getting 99-01 jams and saying select the correct paper in paper tray so I wanted to update firmware before anything

Hi Kenny, what firmware are you trying to update? I had a similar problem with a C364e. I had to disconnect the Job Separator and oddly it worked.

Try to disconnect DF, FAX, additional trays etc.

Right guys I am currently on site, I have disconnected everything and tried to update firmware but still no avail. Would that mean the SSDB has gone bad?

why are you not using G20-M1
why special FW instead of base?

Did not know the GDL-M1 firmware was a special firmware?

its just the firmware that said it was the latest on the konica website.

thats special FW not base.\special FW is written to solve special problems.
try the real base FW G20-M1
latest does not make it the best, use the White House as an example.

The firmware hasn't sorted the issue :( its just download N.G. all the time, i then try the firmware reset which gets rid of the error invalid external device. but as soon as you try to print ANYTHING it comes up with a C-E301 error.

do you have any more suggestion or am i going to have to order a SSDB

43850KM had a bulletin for that problem. Follow these instructions in order and it may fix your problem. Doing this procedure has fixed a lot of weird problems with these E series machines for me. BE SURE TO EXPORT AND SAVE ALL OF YOUR IMPORTANT INFO LIKE USER CODES, SCANNING ADDRESSES, ETC. When you do these formats and data clear, it will wipe out that info.

Hi

I was having a similar problem and found this post very helpful.

Konica BH C654e reset HDD lock password issue (https://www.copytechnet.com/forums/konica-minolta/140935-konica-bh-c654e-reset-hdd-lock-password-issue.html)

You may not have the HDD Lock error, but our main issue was MFP NG. Which it seems to have fixed.
