Konica Minolta Bizhub C554e - Toner Issues

Delivered C554e Last month.

Within a month Client has changed 18 Toners (All colors). And when we check the Meter reading. He has just done 3500 Black and 1800 Color.

Before delivering the machine, have replaced all the new developers, Drums and Transfer Belt.

He does most of the A3 jobs and on Thick 3-4 Mode.

Please advise.

It sounds to me like they are doing very heavy fill. Have you confirmed that?

How many waste toners have they replaced??? Have you seen the empties??? Is this a toner included contract? Or is your customer selling them on EBAY???:cool:

I was about to say the same how many waste toners? & insist they supply the empties for you to collect & check they are not replacing before they are empty!

You could be doing 100% fill and still would not go through 18 bottles over this low count. There is either a major problem with all developer units or they are selling the toners. E

Yes they are doing very heavy fill but just replaced 1 waste toner box.

I have seen customers who sometimes try to steal toners but not so obvious,maybe 1 bottle on 5 bootles and that is hard to trace, but 18 bottles on 5k clicks,that is so cheeky.
In my surrounding people who doing this would be beaten for sure for making somebody stupid and steal from him.
Anyway you should double check this situation.

simply ask him to save the empties for you that way you can keep track.

There is also 3rd party software that monitors the machine readings, toner errors etc this may be of use to you.

Agreed with all the above. I would ask for empties to swap with full ones also, set it up to so you can monitor toner levels.
