Have you tried loading firmware. Not sure if that model has it but newer models have a firmware reset tool.
Or the NVRAM could be corrupt.

Did you try to boot up the machine with firmware on a USB pen?

any time ive experienced that is when the SSD board goes bad.
will it boot into trouble reset/service mode if you hold the utility button down?
or boot to a firmware stick?

Check DIMMs(memory modules) on MFPB, also there is NVRAM Reset tool for NVRAM (Jig firmware) on this model.

Machine can boot with that connector completely disconnected. Guess then that must have been a short.
