I have a Konica 7920 with the onboard Fiery PostScript RIP/Hard Drive/Network adaptor that still works...sort of. It starts up normally and will copy from the scanner glass, but the RIP is dead.

After about 1 minute trying to "Loading System" the yellow warning light goes on:

"Boot Failed. No Boot Device."

I assume this means the Fiery hard drive / RIP board is dead.

Does anyone know where I can get one of them? Is it possible to replace it?

Thanks in advance.

It's the X3e, internal.

well even though you are not a contributor your rep count vs post count is admirable.
you can use most any laptop HDD to replace and i can PM you a link to the system software disks on my server.
if you need the manuals too let me know, IIRC there is a special parallel to scsi cable you will need.
good luck!

that model looks like the CF1501/2001 or maybe the CF3102.
reloading system software requires the scsi to parallel cable, some LPT1 tweaks and a whole lotta prayer.

id just set it on fire and run personally ;)
