Customer getting frequent jam codes and paper stops/bunches up between exit and the internal finisher. The codes are 3201 and 7217, consistently.
Any help appreciated!

Check operations of Gate switch solenoid (SD3).

Didn't the 4e series machines do this when the exit section bushing seized up for lack of lubrication? =^..^=

So, does this series SHARE the same solenoid/exit issues that the -4 series had? I've never seen this happen before in the -8 series, only the -4....??

Not had exit gate problems but I have had the bushes tighten up just like the 4 range does occasionally.

As soon as I see this code with an embedded finisher it’s the first thing I do, normally cures it.

And just to confirm it’s the exit bushings on the main body, not the finisher exit.

I'm confused. The title says FS-534 which is the standard external floor finisher but you mention the internal finisher unless you meant the horizontal unit instead.

My apologies, it is an internal FS-533 Finisher...

And can someone tell me which exit bushings we're talking about? Are they metal/brass and is that why they dry out and cause drag?

As I previously said it’s the exit rollers on the main body. They are plastic bushes.

I give them a squirt of ptfe lube and that generally does it.
