Good morning fellow techs,

We seem to be running into alot of print/spooling issues with multiple bizhub 4050's located at different locations and on multiple computers. I have tried everything that comes to mind, mutlple drivers, PDF settings, turning off SMTP monitoring, turning off biderectional comms, chaning fonts to bitmap settings and our customer base continues to see these delays. The printer prints as fast as the windows spooler sends jobs, a 6 page document may print 3 pages, wait a minute print 1 more than a few more minutes and print the final pages. This behavior is out of reader, acrobat pro, web browers, specilzied software. As said we have tried generic, common, PCL5, PCL3, PCL6, PS, XPS drivers all to no avail. From what Ive seen that has all stemmed from the windows 1903 update. Any insight would greatly be appreciated.

Many thanks!

JC

We had an issue with IPV6 at a hospital. It only affected the 4050 model none of the other konica's. Are you losing any print jobs?
Ended up using wireshark on their network and found a ton of IPV6 traffic, not just from the 4050's but certain intel boards on the PC's as well.
Have you tried the "direct print" feature from the web interface? That eliminates the print driver settings

Shure it's the printer? Check it with your laptop + direct connection and avoid using windows class drivers and/or wsd port.

I can't seem to locate the original thread, but here's the record in the database:

bizhub 4052, 4752
Won't scan, print or access user boxes while connected to the network. MFP locks up. When Scan is pressed goes to time clock (forever). Will not print from the network or even internal reports, until the network cable is disconnected. Network traffic causes the MFP to lock up. Affects only all (4) bizhub 4052's on this network. Detail codes: (8) 0X1FFF, (5) 0X9CE2, (2) 0X4002, (1) 0X201A, (1) 0X2017, (2) 0X2008, (1) 0X2015, (1) 0X076C. Refer this issue to endusers IT.

Eventually, after much heartache, we installed (4) branded Lexmarks of exactly the same build with no issues. =^..^=

A collegue told me that he had to set the network speed manually to 100mbs and disable all protocols beside ipv4

We had some kind of similar problem with the same machine. It was fixed by changing the network speed of the machine. Go to Administrator settings/network settings/device settings/network speed. It was put on Auto. We changed it to 100 Mbit and everything went fine.
