I have a Konica Minolta C352 that prints lite magenta background on every color copy made. This does not happen when I print in black and white mode. This started out as an intermitten problem. But got worst. This would go away when I would change the Magenta drum, but this last time it did not work. (Changed drum and toner) still won't go away. I am not a Tech. But I am a owner/operator that understands how to take good care of my (C352). I had a tech from Konica come out and look at my copier and tell me I need a new board ($2000.00). The copier only has 200k on it and has never had any problems of any kind. One last thing, after you run ten or so color copies the coper codes (c2553) Drum toner low. I dumped more toner but problem still there.

Is the background from one edge of the paper to another, meaning that is shown even on non-printable area? If yes, you might have a problem with the magenta print head unit. The easiest way to tell is the switch the magenta print head with another color and to see if the background is moving too. It's a tech's job, but not so difficult.

Yes, it is printing from edge to edge and in non-printable area. Whole page like a bleed.

on both of these units stick a magnitized screwdriver in the waste toner box. if you pull out metal your high voltage power supply is shot. if you get steel out of cleaner box, CALL A TECH!

One last thing. If you look at the printed page up-close you can see little wavey lines covering the whole page. (looks like the developer is standing up on the page.

Did you ever solve the issue?

Tried many different things. But in the end I sent the PRCB (board) to HyTec in Orlando to have it tested and repaired. This only cost a quarter of what a new board cost. When I get it back and instal it I will let you guys know how I did.

Is the unit making a squealing noise? If so replace the H/V pwb. Had the same problem w/c351 Had to replace the H/V.
