block contact creation in address book

Hi, can you restrict the use of the address book? I wish the administrator password was needed. I could remove the icon from the display but I would like to limit access to editing the address book. Is there any dipswitch/security setting?

I suggest hiding it

Utility/Admin Settings/System Settings/Custom display settings/Main Menu Default Settings / Main Menu key 8 turn off

most customers have no idea how to go through utility and one touch setup from my experience

Try <Administrator> <System settings> <Restrict user access> <Registering and changing addresses> set to *Restrict.
Let us know if that works.

Just found where you can allow the deletion of authenticated print jobs by any user. Would have been handy years ago.
