Hello everyone

We have disabled supplies notification in service mode for drums etc. on the machine.

But mac users still get notification about expired drums etc. on their mac computers.

Is there any way to avoid this??

Thanks in advance :-)

That works but you have to know in a mixed system with mac and win then you get trouble with printer is offline on the win computers.
Maybe the 227 switch (hide unit status) can do the same but until now i have no experience because i haven't been using it for long. For contracts its a good thing.

Use switch 230.

why not just change the parts out when they have reached PM cycle? no CQ/PQ problem calls, customer doesn't feel you are doing the service correctly... boss won't get calls from irate customers.

never understood why you would put yourself in that mess.

Do you have manual? Did you read it? It's clearly stated there what value should have software switch 230 to not sending machine MIB info.

Found it :) It says, i should set SW230 to 08.

But when i set SW227 to 80 or SW230 to 08. And press fix. Goes back, and in again, the switch settings both goes back to 00 :(

Find the option to disable SNMP somewhere under network settings in the admin settings.

What model are you doing this on?

If switch 227 hex 80 reverts back to hex 00 once you have pressed fix then you may need to update FW to latest then try doing the switch again.

The customers machine is a C308 with firmware A7PU0Y0-F000-GC1-W4-99A0

But i have also tried it, on a c554 and a c258. With same result :(

You can disable SNMP on win printer driver and fix the offline problem.
If sw227 not usable load the latest firmware and lift up function level sw25 to the right.

I have firmware upd. and set switch 25 to 60, but im not sure, if it is the right hex value, cant find any documentation about this.

Switch 25 should be B0 not 60. They may look like the same but are not. Do yourself a favor and ask in Manuals request forum if somebody willing to send you a manual.
