I looked at the imaging units, they look fine to me, but I don't really know what I am looking for... and what are the drums? How to I rotate them?

I also found that if I open the front of it and then close it, it resets for a second, it sounds normal for a second but then it clicks and it sounds like a fan goes on from the side of it by the bypass tray area and then the message comes back. Hope this helps you help me

Sometimes you find help in odd places, thanks for the attitude instead of assistance, it is really productive I hope you feel awesome about yourself. And instead of calling a tech, I thought I would try this first, but I see how it is, you are a jerk... thanks alexxcopier for at least trying

drums are green cylinders they have to be turned only in one direction but it is hard to explain here, so take them out /the fourth/ and try one by one to rotate maybe one of them is stuck or something i don't know
better way is to observe and if you find something wrong go ahead, but if you did't find call a tech
wish you luck

Thank you- tech person came out today and found that the board and motor both were bad and needed to be replaced. About $1700 in parts alone, at least $500 in labor. Thanks so much for your assistance.

This is why you also dont buy a copier without a service contract :D
