I have a customer running a mac book pro with OS 10.4.
We are trying to set up her new C350 with IC-401 to print from her mac. I have installed the drivers set the network settings in both machine and computer but its not working. We get a message saying "printer busy will retry in 10sec". Anyone have any advice? or maybe the correct procedure for setting it on a mac?

are you using IP printng on the mac?
you need to make sure the queue name is either 'print' or 'direct' for it to work
it is case sensitive
check connectivity by putting the ip address in a web browser on the mac

The mac is set to IPP? The IP address will pull up the printers page, but the web tools would load...I have read on other posts that it is because the software is not compatible with the new Java. I did have the controller set wrong in the copier...will change it to the rightr setting and see if it works then.

Thank you for the help!

With your Fiery, make sure that 'Port 9100' is enabled and set to the 'Print Queue'. Then on your Mac, select IP printing and instead of using LPR/LPD printing, use the HP JetDirect Socket.
