Afternoon fellow techs, We have a KM PRO951 that keeps throwing us a C2810 error code. Service manual states replacement of Drum potential sensor and PRCB, Both have been replaced and the error is still occurring. Any info or insight on this matter is greatly appreciated.

Also the Drum Potential Sensor PWB ... did you change that too?

If yes, you might have a harness or connector issue between the three components.

You should also run Drum Peculiarity > Automatic Drum Potential to calibrate. =^..^=

Change SW 6 bit 7 to 1 to ignore DPS auto adjust then have a look at the print quality.
If there is a charge leak the print quality will show it. If so replace the charge unit. Or you drum is cooked..

Had this happen due to a bad DPS PWB before.

Remember to change switch back again to get best drum life.

List print in service mode will also ignore the DPS value to test.

Thank you all for your responses. Advising that all the Consumable components are OEM. DPS and DPS board have been replaced. PRCB board has also been replaced. I am also getting C2206 errors along with the C2810's. Pulling my hair out...

Thanks!

JC

C2206 is a common error on these machines. Could be the blade switch mechanism the sensors or the cleaning unit connector.
The plastic flange where the blade motor gets mounted to can also crack and break.
Its known that the cleaning unit connector goes bad. Only ever disconnect the connector with the purple sticker and don't yank the connector out with the unit like i like to do.
Never had it that its M2 itself.
When you take out the cleaning unit check if the cleaning blade is not in limbo between retracted and engaged. If so then disassemble the drive on the side and let it fall back to where it wants to be, clean the sensors and reassemble.
The cable wire that sets the spring tension for blade position 1 can also climb of its guide in that case you need open the cleaning up to correct or just leave it in the second position, but then you need to swap the blades manually when its time or when it fails.
If the count on the drum is less than 300K then it should be set to blade 1 more than 300K set it to blade 2. The switch over happens at 375K.
The blade switch over tends to fail a lot on these.

Did you try to set that dip switch? How is the print quality?

C2206 is common on these machines. There are about 8 different connections between the PRCB and the cleaning unit. We have had great success by treating all the connections on the drum carriage that lead to the cl unit with "de-ox-it" contact treatment. Also clean the interconnect on the back of the carriage.
