i never go to a machine WITHOUT a manual ( even if i don't USE it )

I've been in this industry for 31+ year and KM about 12. I have 3 - 126gb thumb drives of JUST manuals. Never leave the shop without them. I have put techs under me for leaving the shop without being properly equipped and had to waste time returning for the stuff they 'didn't have ' with them.

so drop the pissing contest ... I highly doubt you will win.

i totally agree with but you know friend every person has his own way of work.
Sometimes manual helps a lot while solving the problem.

This is all I will give you as far as what you are looking for. Don't PM me or ask me for any more info; the rest will be up to you. See the PDF attached to the linked post below...

This will at least give you the instructions on it's proper use, finding the proper file will be up to you. These reset files are very dangerous if used improperly, therefore I won't be handing any of them out.

xx4 and xx4e series reset document (https://www.copytechnet.com/forums/konica-minolta/125064-c224e-counter-reset-post704292.html#post704292)

the proper non-destructive way to reset the password is this.

Curious. I was going to offer the OP help with that, as I know he doesn't have credentials to get into the LMS, but for some reason I can't log into there either. I know I've logged into that system before in order to do license resets, in the past, on some of the older hardware. It's been a long time since I have though, so not sure what the problem is.

In tech registration access can be enabled IIRC. I have service manager access though so I'm not certain what lower access levels see.
Sorry but the doc was right from KM US. Can the over the pond version be searched for the same doc?
Is there a tab for SSD knowledge base?

- There is no separate document about CE password reset - only the description in SM.

- No access to the documents from other regions (US), or access is very limited (UK/JP)
- No access for dealers/techs to Remedy portal (service/helpdesk requests) - lack of possibility to verify whether the problem is local or global, we are always the one with problems; lack of possibility to publish your own solution to the problem
- No separate accounts for techs - one dealer, one account
- Probably all the dealers have the same basic access level (tech in US)
- Probably country level KM HQ is service manager level in the US

We are forced to reinvent the wheel, all the time.

However, we should be happy - we have an access to the fresh information:

They are not the same. No way to find your number in EU KM service site infohub. Same applies to EU documents, theiy are non existent in myKM.

As I said - EU has no access to US documents, two separate worlds with its own rules.

i hate how different regions have different info.

the amount of times ive had to download drivers from USA instead of Australians KM sites cause ours arent as up to date is crazy.

i actually use this forum more than knova/cses
