The file path syntax requires a forward back-slash (/) and any additional sub-folders also require
a forward slash (/) as a separator.

SMB: \\host name\folder
FTP: ftp://host name/folder name

Most likley its scanning SMB to the NAS if it stop working
Could be do to an update on the NAS as smb1.0 has been disabled on most system updates

Scanning smb would be the other

make sure the HDD shows as "installed"
turn off enhanced security if enabled because that blocks FTP use.

Question
How to enable the input of an underscore character in the FTP and SMB Host Name fields.

Answer
Special firmware versions are available to support the underscore character for FTP and SMB Host Names.

Monochrome

bizhub 223/283/363/423: Use version GSB-D1 (replaces version GE8-B5 that was for FTP only) is available

Color

bizhub C224/C284/C364: Use version GS8-65
bizhub C454/C554: Use version GS8-65
bizhub C654/C754: Use version GS8-65

After installing the special firmware, software DIPSW 44 must be set to Hex 20 or 00100000 binary.
To change the DIPSw setting in Service Mode:
1. Touch [Software Switch Setting].
2. Touch [Switch No.] and enter the intended switch number with the ten-key pad.
Software Switch No.: 44
3. Touch .
4. Use [?] or [?] to select a bit. To set the bit, enter 0 or 1 with the ten-key pad.
5. To set the bit in Hex, touch [HEX Assignment] and use the ten-key pad and [A] to [F]
keys to enter numbers and characters.
[B]HEX Assignment: 00 g No Underscore support
HEX Assignment: 20 g Enables the Underscore character for FTP and SMB Host Name fields
6. Touch [Fix].
Notes:
a. The Special firmware and Release Notes are available via the Konica Minolta Download Selector and One-Stop Product Support.
b. This firmware does not support the underscore character for PageScope Data Administrator or OpenAPI.
c. When the Software Switch No.44 is set to 0x20, the underscore character can be input for SMB host name in the following settings:

Direct input of the destination for Scan to SMB and Scan to FTP
One-touch destination for Scan to SMB and Scan to FTP (It is also supported when using PSWC.)
Image Log Transfer (Type2) settings
PING Host Address field to help when troubleshooting

d. The underscore character cannot be input in the beginning and ending of the host name. For example, the host names as follows are invalid.
SMBhost_
_SMBhost
_SMBhost_

completely out of context for this thread....

go start your own new thread listing all steps taken... parts replaced ... parts counts.

mind what thread you are posting in.

can there be the problem of scans with - (minus) instead of with _ (undersore) in host name? In SMB? in konica c224

You can only try and see.
If it fails try the host IP instead. That's the simple solution.
