Hi guys,

There was a C364e we had come in and there was an issue with an i-option, the techs reset it and disabled by using the serial hack procedure since we don't have access to LMS. Machine had also come up with the TPM issue, that was all rectified and machine is running fine but the counters read zero! They did do an all data clear and then an ssd/hd format which i'm guessing is what happened.

Is there anyway we can restore the meter readings at all? The machine has the physical counter but I would prefer to not send the machine out with electronic counter reading 0.

We are not a Konica dealer or specialist, I've looked through the service manual but can't seem to find anything on this specifically.

Thanks in advance! ^_^

Clear all data or SSD/HDD format won't clear machine counter. After you playing with reset tool and zero counters I think you cannot revert original counter.

For someone who is "not a konica specialist" you did very well resetting the main counters!

I AM a specialist & don't know how to do this!

Haha well it was not intentional :D, we definitely do not want a zero meter. I can happily PM you the steps to get it to this point if you really want, it's confusing as we have literally done this a few times before without this result.

Yes if you could PM me the details i’d be grateful it may help with troubleshooting issues!

I’m more curious how you resolved the TPM error?... Had this together with “black only” and fax error(no fax) after empty Battery on MFP Board... Replaced Battery and tried MFP reset procedure few times. Managed to get TPM error Away after downgrading to first release firmware and updated to latest version again. TPM message was gone, but “black only” and fax error stayed... Even tried new SSD... ended up replacing MFP board. Anyone solution for that if next battery dies on MFP board?

I'm not sure as we had the TPM issue as a result of trying to get rid of the i-option inadvertently. (we clearly know enough to get in to trouble lol) The battery never went flat. It did say to perform initialization after that but failed but worked after we did the below.

I'm no expert at all, but perhaps you could try doing an all data clear/HDD format and then perform the serial/licence hack and change back to original, then re enable HDD and change settings back. This worked for our issue. Another machine we had had what you were experiencing with no scan functions, user box and m ono only copy function but that was due to the i-option which needed to be disabled in software switch setting.

What is this serial hack you speak of?

I am intrigued

I have seen the console mode through the serial port once activated and noticed you can abort the automatic boot proceedure and log directly into linux but I'd imagine only KM would know the root password amd would never share it with douchebag technicians like me ;)

We just use that old one dating back to the C203 which I think a lot of the people know already, doesn't do everything I guess but helps us with i-option issue's when machines come in with no HDD or if the IT wholesalers play around, theres probably a much better way but since we don't have KM access... I don't know enough about them since we are Toshiba dealers. Doing this then changing the relevant software switch setting seems to resolve our problems. It should be pretty clear we don't totally know what we are doing but we got the result after a big circle haha. Toshiba's were very easy to play around with a whole bunch of things in the back end but these we will have to spend the time and learn. Procedure below:

Change serial number to A0R6021006374
After reboot go to Stop9 and initialise licence
Use initialise code 2VRA4-UGGA2-Z2H4K-7AVUH-F58SW-J2Z7U-QVKVK
Reboot and change back to original serial and reboot again. Enable HDD and set other items then change switches

It appears 5 years are enough even for Pro ;)

TPM issue and zero counters whispers battery problem. Did You check battery voltage on MFPB. It must be 3v, not 0.5 V or so...
