I have just got this unit and am setting it up. Everything else seems to work but I cannot get the Scan to Email to work, when I select it I get "Scan TX Failed"
(Scan to folder works fine) so I assume that I must have some setting set up incorrectly.

The manual indicates that I can set up SMTP etc from the touchscreen but the options do not seem to be there, other than enable or disable, I have to go in via the web interface to reach the options. Is this normal?

Any ideas about what I am doing wrong?

(Does the C3350 have wireless?)

You must enable “Less Secure Apps” in gmail settings.

did you put the email address in for the device name as well?

If you mean the account you are sending too, it is already enabled.

Use port 587 for gmail. Also as said above, "allow less secure apps" must be set on the gmail account being used. In addition, set the administrator email the same as the authenticating account.

did you put the email address in for the device name as well?


I think that that is in the attachment, does that have to be a "real" email address?

If you mean the account you are sending too, it is already enabled.


He means the account that is being used to sign in and send from.

also gmail needs NTLM v2.0 IIRC, pic shows v1 (double check this)
set 8.8.8.8 for secondary DNS

Added 8.8.8.8 changed device and act email address not sure what to do re NTLM

Still doesnt work.

Even the very latest KM's seem to show that NTLMv1 box. Never seen it be an issue.

The 2 circled items must match. Go to the system page and change the administrator email address to the same account name as the smtp account

[CITA = RidleyRumpus; 1496373] Acabo de recibir esta unidad y la estoy configurando. Todo lo demás parece funcionar, pero no puedo hacer que Escanear a correo electrónico funcione, cuando lo selecciono aparece "Escaneo de TX fallido"
(Escanear a carpeta funciona bien), así que asumo que debo tener alguna configuración configurada incorrectamente.

El manual indica que puedo configurar SMTP, etc. desde la pantalla táctil, pero las opciones no parecen estar allí, aparte de habilitar o deshabilitar, tengo que ingresar a través de la interfaz web para acceder a las opciones. ¿Esto es normal?

¿Alguna idea sobre lo que estoy haciendo mal?

(¿El C3350 tiene conexión inalámbrica?)

You'll need to be on later firmware for gmail to work this applies on most Bizhubs engineers are lazy & don't routinely update.

Set the device email address to c3350seed@gmail.com send a scan again now log into your gmail account c3350seed@gmail.com & can you see any security issue messages?

You may want to hide your email as you did with the password..

I managed to set it up.

smtp.gmail.com
port number: 587
Start TLS
port number: 587

Administrator e-mail: whatever@test.com
Device e-mail: whatever@test.com

Account: yourgmailaddress@gmail.com

No need for NTLM v2, it works for me with NTLM v1! :)

I have a Bizhub C35 that was working with those settings:

The printer died and I received a Bizhub C3350 that using the same settings, I get Tx scan error!

Do I need to change the firmware?

1. Enable Less Secure Apps in your gmail account
2. Create 2FA Auth
3. Create App Password for your printer
4. Put DNS settings 8.8.8.8 and 1.1.1.1
I also use my own router as DNS
