Hi Guys,

I have a C250i that boots up straight into service mode self diagnostics. There are no errors all check results "OK". I have updated fw to G00-79 with no luck and I have redone the entire set up again, the machine is functional however the client is not happy to keep exiting the service mode screen whenever yhe machine is powered up.

Do G00-7B FW.

Unless the button is stuck in behind the panel?
Don't forget to change sw switch 25 to the newest function level.
I forget the hex, maybe someone can fill in that blank faster than me.

Do G00-7B FW.
I didn't like this firmware, it did strange things for me. Now I prefer to experiment with GC1-7B

If the hex switch isn't changed, this is exactly what you'll get. It drove our in shop techs crazy for a few days.

Starting machine with Power key pressed will cause Self diagnostic. So check if Power key is somehow constantly blocked.

No stuck buttons involved just do FW and correct function version.

You can stop the MFP to automaticly perform self diagnostics by adjusting dip sw 163 to hex 00

the default is to run auto diagnostics when it thinks it has a problem, but this can confuse customers who see the self diagnostics screen!

I prefer to turn this off.

im running gc1-7b seems to be as stable as 45 but without the issues. just remember to disable marketplace before flashing.

Hi, I'm only reading now.
What will happen if this is not done?

The flash has sometimes been corrupted.
