4050 LCD screen freezing

4050, latest f/w never been on the network (standalone copier). LDC icons are unresponsive after an indefinite time of sitting idle. hard buttons always works and LCD responds to the presance of your hand, but COPY, FAX, ect will not respond. Have replace HDD, control panel and main bd with no change. No error code when it locks up. Any ideas? Ed

Check the wiring from the MFPB to the screen. On the bizhub 4050 it is very tight. Once the screen froze and by detaching and reattaching the cable from both directions, the screen started working again for a while. After the complete change of the panel, it started working again. So I don't know if the new touch panel or cable routing helped me.
