hello ,can anyone recommend the settings /services that are better disable when set up the i series ?like disable weekly timer,ip v6 ,sleep mode ,market place,screen saver ...to prevent problems like machine hang,white screen ,went offline ,failed to connect csrc,remote service .....everytime I setup new machine /service of iseries,waste alot of time to deal with these problems .thanks alot

This will depend on the region and end user, but I always do the following on every I-series installs:


Keep Classic copy screen as default:
Admin mode > System Settings >

Default Operation Mode Setting = CLASSIC STYLE


Remove new style Basic copy screen button:
Admin mode > System Settings > Main Menu Default (CLASSIC)
Select row that says Basic style (#6?), Edit, Function Name = NOT SET

Disable Marketplace & Screensaver, do this the AFTER machine has been networked:

Admin mode > Network Settings > IWS Settings > Marketplace > Disable > OK
Admin mode > System Settings > Reset settings > System auto reset > Screen saver function OFF

Other more common settings like Sleep mode are turned Off (must allow in service mode first: System 1 > Sleep > Permit), low power set to 60min, Weekly Timer and Tracking functions both Off

For the CSRC remember to disable WebDav, enable security protol. Also disable IP filtering if not needed

i leave webdav on and CSRC works fine

i originally disabled webdav to get remote panel working but then realised i just needed to select "individual settings" instead of leaving it on "synchronize" in the webdav config section of remote panel.

Spent ages looking on how to set it to quick copy as default screen. Still couldn't find the correct option. Can any one point in the right direction please?

Is it possible to change the Marketplace screen saver to a custom logo like we can with the boot screen?

Really buggy app. If you have choice better remove this heavy bloatware for a good times.

I agree its not really needed however i'd like to change the screensaver picture if possible, my marketing clients would like to see their own logo on the copier.
