We have a 8050 that we cannot get the color to register.
When we run auto color registration it comes up with error 2.
When we run manual color registration you can see the colors are above the black. But we can not get it scan and fix.
All vertical & horizontal adjustments are fine.
We have went through all adjustments we can think of.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Got error codes(SC45-20,etc.)? Maybe lasers?

No error codes.
He have not touched the write units.
Did not want to run the write (LD BIAS ajustment)
The colors on the manual adj. sheet are about 1/16th away from the black. Not perfectly lined up with each other, but close.
If we could get the colors move down about a 1/16th or the black to mave up,the machine should be able to adjust by itself from there.
After we run the adj. sheet out and let the machine try and scan it we get an error 1 or 13 meaning it cannot read it or the sheet is skewed.

Thanks for your help.

Description
Unable to perform manual color registration adjustment, either error 1 or 13 is displayed.
Solution
CAUSE: Incorrect paper size selected; 11x17 is not supported for scanning the chart, only A3.
SOLUTION: To use 11x17,either cut or fold the trail edge over 1/2 inch and positioning the chart 10mm off the back plate against the left plate when
scanning. This positions the image in the same location as it would be on an A3sheet.

Great Thanks that helps.
We get an error code #5 now. Not within the standard value. Re-adjust it.
What adjustment can we use to move the black and colors up and down on the sheet.
We need to be able to move the black up about 5mm to be lined up with the other colors.
What the heck are we missing here?
Thanks

OK when all else fails... restore factory settings.
That put the color back into registration.
Thanks for your help.
