He was missing the subject in another thread and copier tech gave him solution straight from SM. So hopefully he's now really reading it. Other than that I'm with you on this - 100% .

just in case someone was looking for the solution, it is to set bit switch 227 to hex 00 hit fix.

It was software SW 227: it had for some reason been set ot set itself to 80, setting it back to 00 fixed it. Maybe the firmware update was the cause.
I edited my post because I could not see an option to delete and I since read the manual and sorted it.
