Does anybody knows if i can update a bizhub c220 with the firmware of olivetti d-color c220?

As side note. On newer Develops I was told KM FW will just fit. But that's other brand and model.

I'm not sure if this will help, but I used to get Oce machines and change soft switch 10 to hex 02 and that would make it boot as a KonMin machine. As for firmware, I was able to load KonMin firmware after the soft switch change. I never tried loading firmware before the change so it may have worked before as well.
I am not telling you that it will work for you, but I did have success in the past.

I only use correct firmware but I do know guys that use Develop & olliveti firmware in Konica's they say it works

I believe that's true. However it's not recommended as other functions and features may be affected inadvertently.

Yes you can. I do it practically every day. However only from mf222 c224 and upwards. Worst case the firmware won't be written or simply won't take the USB.

Yes you can, I have a few Olivetti models & simply use the Konica Minolta firmware as normal.

Firmware is the same for all brands but the model must be the same. Never change the soft switch 10, because the certificate settings change

prob easier to just ask for someone to give you the correct firmware :confused:

The Olivetti & Konica Minolta firmware are both identical so that would be pointless.

It works not always.

I had a Develop ineo+454e (bizhub c454e) which the new firmware did not accept.... every time it boots to normal copy ready state.
Only afterwards did I see that only the Konicaminiolta models were listed in the aditional .txt in knova.
Firmware updates from konicaminolta are always a bit faster then those from the other brands like Olivetti / Develop.

That means it is not always compatible. But i think the sw switch 10 is the solution.
