Good Morning

We have a customer with a Kyocera 2552ci color multifunction with a c2840 error. We have run into this problem in the past with customers using generic toner and clogging issues but this one is different. The error code started at first only when a copy/print was attempted. Paper would get to registration then error out. Now the error code comes up immediately when machine is powered up. We removed toner box and checked for clogging with no obstructions at all or damage to auger. Everything spins freely. Below is a list of what was replaced up to this point. Any suggestions?

Drive Gear on auger/toner box
Feed Drive PWB 302ND94280
Transfer Belt Assembly
Feed Drive L Assembly

Have you checked the fuser discharge needled just under the fuser? Remove and clean as per the bulletin and reset code 167 discharge correction.

Take out the transfer belt and inspect the waste auger drive motor and passages for blocking of toner, and also downstream towards the rear of the machine via the waste "manifold" as I like to call it. We've had pluggages throughout those areas, with genuine toner.

Grab the waste bottle inside the door, and see if you can twist it as-is. If you can, the box is deformed and the gear isn't engaged, causing backup of waste. This was more of an issue for the earlier "2" series machines, so I'd expect low likelihood of the bottle/box being an issue on your 2553, but... you never know

Did you checked YC32 on feed image pwb?
Pin A1 = 24V power supply for belt cleaning motor.
Same on transfer connect pwb.

Are they using compatible toner ? Check to see if the cleaning unit on the transfer belt is binding. If not, see if the recycling unit is binding. I've had a couple of machines using compatible toner that ended up having this problem. Hope this helps.
